Hello. I have a Dazzle DVC100 capture device. My computer has an onboard Realtek audio device. My capturing software is VirtualDub. When I record, the sound has this high-pitched whine to it and the quality is really poor. If I uninstall my Realtek sound drivers the sound is much better, but still inferior to what it should be. I tried to capture on another computer that also has an onboard Realtek audio device and the sound was the same as my main computer with the Realtek sound drivers uninstalled.
Why does this happen? Is the Realtek sound device incompatible with VirtualDub, the Dazzle capture device, or both? If I bought a good sound card, would it bypass the onboard audio and fix the sound issues? When I capture something I'd like the audio to sound the same as if I was recording it via the line input of my computer.
I did some sound recordings a while ago back when my VCR still worked.

I don't have a recording of the audio from a capture without the Realtek sound drivers installed but it's between the two.
